Zaventem, 24th January 2019 - Econocom has appointed Chantal De Vrieze Managing Director of Belgium and Luxembourg. As such, she will also join the Group’s Executive Committee. Chantal De Vrieze will take up her post on 11th February.
In her new role, Chantal De Vrieze’s duties will include achieving Belux’s growth ambitions and rolling out the “e for excellence” strategic plan. With this plan, Econocom aims to focus on growth, quality and customer satisfaction through integrated solutions in four areas of expertise: digital workplace, ICT infrastructures, digital transformation and financing.
“We’re currently seeing a market shift from an ownership rationale to a use rationale, which has led to a rise in as-a-service solutions and product/service combinations. It’s an attractive model for clients. With our unique combination of products, digital services and financing, Econocom is ideally positioned to support these new business models,” said Chantal De Vrieze, the new Managing Director of Econocom Belux, who is returning to a company where she previously spent 14 years, including seven as Country Manager. “I’m drawn to this company’s DNA, its dynamic and entrepreneurial spirit. I followed my heart,” she added.

For the past three years, Chantal De Vrieze was head of Altran Belgium. In addition to her new career at Econocom Belux, she will continue to serve on the boards of directors of a number of major listed Belgian companies.
