Puteaux, 10 April 2018 Econocom is consolidating its partnership with Google in the field of mobility by becoming the first accredited “Android Zero-Touch Enrollment” integrator in France. Via this zero-touch enrollment solution for corporate-owned mobile devices, Econocom offers simplicity and security to organisations that have chosen Android for their enterprise mobility strategy.

Employee engagement is fundamental to the success of an enterprise mobility project. However, the standards employees are used to in their private uses of digital have led them to expect total simplicity. Organisations therefore have to meet this need if they want their digital projects to be successful. But offering simplicity can be a complex business – especially when you want to guarantee both security and optimal user experience.

With its zero-touch programme, Google has successfully addressed this challenge by allowing organisations to set up Android smartphones and tablets remotely. This is how it works: when users switch on their mobile device for the first time, it automatically connects to the company’s EMM (Enterprise Mobility Management) system which sets up the right configuration profile. The three main advantages of this solution are:

  • Employees can enjoy easy, seamless access to all the services they need (email, applications, etc.)
  • The IT team can constantly monitor devices to ensure they are compliant (particularly in terms of security)
  • Zero-touch enrolment guarantees companies fast, easy deployment – which means costs savings.

Companies can only benefit from the Android zero-touch programme via approved Google partners. Being the first accredited French partner consolidates Econocom’s position as a leading integrator and an innovative player. In addition, the aim of the programme is perfectly in line with the group’s positioning in its mobility business, Econocom Mobility, i.e.  “a unique partner that makes mobility easy for you.”

We are thrilled with this accreditation which will strengthen our partnership with Google and enable us to offer our clients a seamless experience, whatever the technology they have chosen for their enterprise mobility strategy,” said Enrique Lopez, Technology Director for Econocom Mobility.
