Nature restoration projects

LG's Smart Green movement seeks to mobilize people, companies and institutions around the so-called Sustainability 2.0. Its objective is to go beyond the reduction of environmental impact and promote the regeneration of nature as a complementary way to advance in the fight against climate change.

Smart Green Trees

The "Smart Green Trees" campaign started in 2017 in Spain with a focus on reforestation and forest recovery on the Iberian Peninsula.  
It has already made possible to plant more than 4.5 million potential trees and shrubs thanks to the Nendo Dango technique.

Smart Green Bees

The "Smart Green Bees" campaign aims of repopulating 48 million Iberian bees, 
key to natural regeneration and essential in the pollination of native species.

Smart Green Seas

The “Smart Green Seas” focuses on the restoration of Posidonia meadows in the Mediterranean together with the Vellmarí Foundation and the Ecomar Foundation's Acción Posidonia project. It has contributed to replanting more than 100,000 Posidonia oceanica since 2021seedlings with a survival rate of 99%.

The “Smart Green Minerals” is a pioneering project in the pilot phase in Ávila that investigates permanent carbon capture through weathering enhanced with basalt dust.
